About The Position

Join E-Therapy as an Onsite School Occupational Therapist (OTR) in Scappoose, OR for the 26/27 School Year. E-Therapy is a pioneer in special education, dedicated to delivering top-tier clinical solutions to PreK-12 schools nationwide through an advanced, technology-driven platform. The mission is to empower schools by seamlessly connecting them with a network of highly qualified, licensed clinicians to offer accessible and impactful services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing occupational therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools, helping them achieve their developmental, educational, and functional goals. E-Therapy offers comprehensive support, a passionate and collaborative team, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' communication skills and overall growth. Cross-license support is available for those not currently licensed in Oregon.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Must hold valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state in which you live in in which you are practicing.
  • Must be Registered with the National Board Certification Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Passionate about working with K-12 students
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, computer skills (including email/ and Microsoft teams)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, handwriting without tears, and other therapeutic modalities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address students' specific needs and promote skill development.
  • Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and other school staff regarding strategies to promote students' participation and success in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students' academic and functional needs.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' education plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork.
