About the Role We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist—ideally Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)—to deliver high-quality therapy for children with upper extremity conditions. This role involves splint fabrication after surgery, developing home programs, and creating individualized treatment plans. You’ll work in a team-based environment with physicians, therapists, and other specialists. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans Provide splinting and post-operative care for pediatric patients Educate families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve functional outcomes Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across outpatient clinics (and occasionally hospital settings) Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Vanderbilt Health and regulatory standards Qualifications Required: Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in Tennessee (or eligibility) Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience Preferred: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential Experience in pediatric hand therapy, splinting, and post-operative care Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC preferred) Pediatric specialty certifications (e.g., SIPT, NDT, EI training) Why Vanderbilt Health?
