Occupational Therapist : Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university Current Texas state license to practice occupational therapy Experience in pediatrics required Home health experience preferred Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
  • Define patient's degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensory impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total occupational therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
