Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Dallas, TX Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient - Stroke Team Hours: 40 Full Time Monday - Friday Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity. Our team is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to treat on our Inpatient Rehabilitation Stroke Team, working full time Monday- Friday. Preferring , this candidate will have experience treating patients who have experienced stroke, focusing in evaluation, practicing ADLs, and treating and progressing patients through their stay while working on rehabilitation of impairments. This OT will be a part of a strong team and have opportunity for mentorship, education and development.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required

Nice To Haves

• experience treating patients who have experienced stroke, focusing in evaluation, practicing ADLs, and treating and progressing patients through their stay while working on rehabilitation of impairments

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
