Occupational Therapist (OT) – Home Health Visits – Per Diem – Winter Park
About The Position
Comforting, Loving & Helping Hands Home Care is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy services to patients in their homes throughout the Winter Park, FL area. This role includes initial evaluations , Plan of Care development , and ongoing treatment visits , with compensation structured per visit or hourly depending on the case and service provided . This position is ideal for therapists who are confident working independently, experienced in home health, and skilled in completing thorough clinical documentation that supports patient safety, independence, and functional outcomes. This role is well‑suited for Occupational Therapists who: Have a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience Have experience in home health or community‑based therapy Are comfortable completing comprehensive functional evaluations Understand the importance of documentation in Plan of Care development Work independently while maintaining high clinical standards
Requirements
- License: Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience
- Documentation Skills: Ability to complete detailed, accurate clinical notes
- Compliance: CPR certification and Level II background screening
- Transportation: Ability to travel to patient homes
- Classification: Willingness to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor

Responsibilities
- Perform initial occupational therapy evaluations
- Develop and update individualized Plans of Care
- Provide skilled OT treatment visits as ordered
- Address activities of daily living (ADLs), safety, and functional independence
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to improve daily function
- Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Complete accurate, timely, and defensible clinical documentation
