Diablo Valley Post Acute, a premier provider of rehabilitation and long-term care in Contra Costa County, is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic and passionate team. Requirements

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and according to the physician's treatment plan.
  • Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation in compliance with the Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and payer requirements.
  • Train restorative aides to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate patient progress, problems, and plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiving techniques for discharge planning.
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area and departmental equipment.
  • Relate positively and effectively with patients, families, and professional colleagues.
