Occupational Health Nurses are expected to maintain required certifications along with knowledge, skills, and expertise through professional development activities. The following engagement will be included and expected with your employment with Foster Farms as an Occupational Health Nurse: Workers’ Compensation case management and cost containment Support FMLA and Return-to-Work Programs OSHA Recordkeeping and compliance New hire orientation Ergonomics Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist First Aid/AED/CPR certified Wellness initiatives which include Flu and Covid vaccination clinics, blood drives, blood pressure and diabetic management counseling, and our monthly informational wellness boards. Team approach with the Safety Department Promote federal, state and local mandates for Covid compliance and participate in the Covid team meetings, contact tracing, close contact tracking and Return-to-Work assessments Drug and alcohol testing Comply with the Blood Borne Pathogens Program Deliver acute onsite injury/illness management Work closely with HR, Safety, superintendents, supervisors, and line leaders to promote a healthy, safe, effective, and sustainable workforce.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid unencumbered RN license in the State of California or a compact state license.
  • CPR/AED certified
