About The Position

Occupational Health Nurse I in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: Must be licensed in state of Georgia Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Entry Level. Active Nursing License in the state of employment required. Position Purpose:Provide Occupational Health Care Services according to the Gulfstream Medical Program. Coordinate medical services required. for the safety and proper placement of employees, the treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries, and approved industrial preventative medical programs under direction of Corporate Occupational Health Nurse Leadership.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and management to support organizational health and safety objectives . Promote and facilitate continuity of care through consistent and coordinated medical services . Maintain medical records in professional and confidential manner . Provide superior nursing care in a professional manner using all available resources . Provides timely treatment of work-related injuries . Demonstrate basic knowledge of workers compensation per state of employment . Demonstrate basic knowledge of all regulatory bodies pertaining to state of employment to include but not limited to DOT, FAA, OSHA/CalOSHA . Understanding of regulatory testing programs to include but not limited to hearing, vision, respiratory, alcohol and drug . Administer regulatory testing proficiently . Maintain appropriate inventories of medical and first aid supplies . Administer the collection and processing of drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Corporate and FAA alcohol and drug program . Maintain all medical equipment .Additional Functions: Remain current with health and medical initiatives .Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: BLS Certification, DOT Collector and BAT Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
