Supervises the medical department, which provides hands-on clinical treatment, nursing services, and first aid to employees who become injured or ill on premises. This position supervises all case management for worker's compensation cases. Ensures pro-active wellness programs are carried out daily. Participates in accident investigations. Conducts walk through assessments of high-incident areas. Facilitates communication between the employees and management. Requirements

  • RN
  • 3 - 5 years of occupational experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and support to the nursing team when dealing with occupational injuries and illness to achieve operational and safety goals.
  • Partners with H&W Centers on occupational (DOT and Respirator physicals, Hepatitis B and Blood Born Pathogens) needs
  • Supports the recruiting process by managing the post offer physical process.
  • Makes determinations based on established guidelines.
  • Manages the administrative processes for the medical department. This includes file and chart storage, supply orders etc.
  • Works with the safety department to manage WC cases, promotes a culture of safety.
  • Accident assessments, walk through assessments in high incident areas, look for improvements.
  • Monthly reporting on respiratory tests, fit tests, Hep B and Premise WC.
  • Develops and documents policies to ensure compliance with state and federal law.
  • Facilitates communication between the employees and management.
  • Participates in accident investigations.
  • Ensures pro-active wellness programs are carried out daily.
