About The Position

An Occupancy Planner manages workplace capacity, demand, and layout optimization to maximize real estate portfolio efficiency. Responsibilities include generating stacking plans, space utilization analysis, managing move/add/change requests (MAC), and supporting site strategy to align with business requirements. Ideal candidates possess spatial planning skills, strong analytical abilities, and experience in corporate real estate or facilities management. Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000/YR The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years in corporate project, facilities, furniture, or move coordination.
  • Tools: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with CAFM software (e.g., AutoCAD, IBM TRIRIGA, Nuvolo) is frequently required.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to manipulate data for financial calculations (percentages, ratios) and spatial analysis.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities

  • Space & Capacity Strategy: Develops and maintains site-level occupancy plans, headcount forecasts, and seat supply projections.
  • Scenario Planning: Creates stacking plans, test fits, and layout options to solve space shortages and improve collaboration.
  • Move Management: Coordinates employee relocations, furniture reconfigurations, and "move/add/change" (MAC) requests.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Tracks and reports on space utilization, vacancy, and capacity metrics to inform decisions.
  • Relationship Management: Partners with business unit leaders to understand headcount changes and space requirements.
  • System Maintenance: Ensures the integrity of space data within facility management software, often including CAD drawings.
