About The Position

A wonderful family near Gray TN is seeking an occasional babysitter to help with after-school care for their kindergartener. Responsibilities include meeting the child at the bus stop and providing care for approximately 2 hours per day, 4 days per week, until the parents return home. The family has two cats and one large, friendly Labrador in the home. While no pet care is required, applicants should be comfortable around both cats and dogs. Start date: Immediate End date: Ongoing until summer vacation Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 3:30-5:30pm Compensation: $50 per day

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience
• CPR certified, or willingness to become certified
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
• Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the family’s driveway bus stop by 3:30 PM to meet the child as they get off the bus
• Provide snack
• Provide supervision and care until 5:30 PM, when the parents return home
• Engage the child in interactive, age-appropriate activities and games
• Encourage and supervise safe outdoor play
