Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Richland, WA Service Setting: Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Coverage Type: Call Only Shifts needed to be filled: -March 21, 23 -April 5,8,13,16 -May 13,16,22,24,27,30 -June 1,2,10,15,18,19,24,27,29 -July 2,7,1011,12,15,20,21,24,25,26,29 Call Schedule: 24 -hour in -house call Call Type: In -house Patient Volume: 25 patients per shift Annual Deliveries: 3,000 Phone Consults: Yes Support Staff: Midwives (5), PA/NPs (13) Case Mix: -Hysterectomy -Ectopic pregnancy -D&C, ovarian cystectomy -Abscesses -Post -hysterectomy complications Procedures: – Low and high -risk pregnancy management - 35% Low, 25% High, 5% C -Section, 20% Office GYN, 15% Surgical – FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) – OB ultrasounds (Level I & II) – Amniocentesis – Vaginal and cesarean deliveries – Complicated deliveries, VBACs, multiple births, breech, abruptions – Repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations – Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, LEEP, cryosurgery) – Surgical gynecology: open and laparoscopic (ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, LOA) Trauma Level: II EMR: Epic Other Info: Busy, high -acuity in -house call model; providers manage emergent OB/GYN cases including Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered: Malpractice covered; travel/lodging not specified Requirements: Active WA License or IMLC BC in Obstetrics and Gynecology BLS Fellowship training preferred
