LVHN hospitals, including Cedar Crest, Muhlenberg, Hazleton, and Pocono, received an 'A' grade on the Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group in 2020. LVPG OB/GYN is an enterprise of multiple practices across several counties in southeastern Pennsylvania, serving women’s preventive, gynecological, and obstetric needs. The Hazleton practice includes general ob/gyn physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and ob/gyn hospitalists, supporting approximately 650 births annually and serving as one of five maternal-newborn hospital sites for LVHN. Maternal-fetal medicine consultation is available, and transports to the tertiary care facility in Allentown, PA, are accepted. Newborn services at Hazleton include a Level I nursery staffed by pediatricians and access to Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital specialists.
