About The Position

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Generalist Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) to join its nationally recognized, forward-thinking health network. LVPG OB/GYN is a large enterprise with multiple practices across several counties in southeastern Pennsylvania, providing comprehensive women's preventive, gynecological, and obstetric services. Inpatient care is delivered at two Family Birth and Newborn Centers (Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg) and two primary surgical locations (Muhlenberg and 17th Street campuses). The successful candidate will join a team of general OB/GYN physicians, collaborating with midwives, OB/GYN hospitalists, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists at the network's largest maternity hospital, which handles over 3000 births annually and serves as a referral center. Hospitalists are key teaching faculty for OB/GYN residents and medical students, working closely with maternal-fetal medicine physicians for high-risk patient management. Newborn services include a Level IV NICU and access to pediatric specialists from Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Opportunities are available for participation in education, clinical research, quality and patient safety initiatives, and healthcare administration. LVHN also offers an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and a new Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship, serving as a regional clinical campus for the University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine.

Requirements

Board Eligible or Board Certified
A current PA Medical License or ability to obtain one is required

Responsibilities

Serve women’s preventive, gynecological, and obstetric needs
Conduct inpatient care at Family Birth and Newborn Centers and primary surgical locations
Work with midwives, ob/gyn hospitalists, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists
Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine physicians for management of high-risk patients
Perform limited hospital-based gynecology care
Participate in education, clinical research, quality and patient safety, and healthcare administration
Teach and train students and residents at some locations
