Responsible for providing appropriate inpatient and outpatient based Obstetrical, Gynecological and continuing care to all patients in Garnet Health as well as affording leadership, coordination and administration. The Physician is a partner in an interdisciplinary team of care givers and administrative support staff to perform assigned duties while displaying the highest of standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Garnet Health Doctors, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. Provider will admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to adolescent and adult female patients with medical and surgical complications of pregnancy, disorders of the genitourinary system, problems with fertility including surgical intervention, live births, and C-Sections. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $375,000 through $425,000 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible M.D. or D.O. licensed to practice in the State of New York possessing an unrestricted DEA certification while maintaining required staff privileges at Garnet Health Medical Center and / or Garnet Health Medical Center- Catskills.
  • Degree of M.D. or D.O. with recognized internal medicine residency (three years minimum) or ABFM-recognized family medicine residency (three years minimum) required.
  • Professional clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology practice with at least 50 deliveries (with at least 5 C-Sections) required.
  • Performance of at least 25 gynecological surgical / oncological procedures required.
  • NYS Medical License, valid and unrestricted required.
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology achieved within five (5) years after completion of training required.
  • DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation, current and ongoing required.
  • Current Opioid Prescriber Training Certificate required.
  • Current Infectious Certificate required.
  • Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the practice of obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks.
  • Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment.
  • Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push over 75 lbs.
  • Other physical requirements include the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, twist, balance and reach above, out and below.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks.
  • Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
