Job Title: ObGyn Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Flagstaff, AZ Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: 04/10/2026 – 06/21/2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: 24 -hour call coverage, 7:00p – 7:00p On -Call Shift Schedule: 24 -hour beeper call Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: TBD Call Response Time: As clinically required COVERAGE DATES April 10 (7:00p) – April 12 (7:00p), 2026 April 17 (7:00p) – April 19 (7:00p), 2026 April 24 (7:00p) – April 26 (7:00p), 2026 May 8 (7:00p) – May 10 (7:00p), 2026 May 22 (7:00p) – May 24 (7:00p), 2026 May 29 (7:00p) – May 31 (7:00p), 2026 June 12 (7:00p) – June 14 (7:00p), 2026 June 19 (7:00p) – June 21 (7:00p), 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 1–3 deliveries per shift Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included as clinically appropriate Phone Consults: As clinically appropriate Case Mix: General obstetrics and gynecology coverage including labor and delivery and inpatient OB/GYN care FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 268 Trauma Level: Adult Level I–IV Trauma Center EMR System: Cerner Office Equipment Available: Standard labor and delivery and surgical equipment Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty hospital support Support Staff Available: Labor and delivery and hospital clinical staff Reason for Coverage: Supplemental locum coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: TBD Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 15–20 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per facility guidelines REQUIRED PROCEDURES Obstetrical delivery management Emergency obstetric and gynecologic procedures Inpatient OB/GYN consultation and management JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Arizona license required or IMLC eligibility Board: BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology required DEA: Required Certifications: TBD Experience: Minimum 1 year OB/GYN experience required Other Qualifications: Ability to manage obstetric and gynecologic call coverage independently DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24 -hour OB/GYN call coverage Manage labor and delivery patients and obstetric emergencies Perform gynecologic procedures as required Evaluate and manage inpatient OB/GYN consults Collaborate with hospital and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care Document patient encounters and procedures in Cerner EMR
Requirements
- Active Arizona license required or IMLC eligibility
- BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- DEA: Required
- Minimum 1 year OB/GYN experience required
- Ability to manage obstetric and gynecologic call coverage independently
Responsibilities
- Provide 24 -hour OB/GYN call coverage
- Manage labor and delivery patients and obstetric emergencies
- Perform gynecologic procedures as required
- Evaluate and manage inpatient OB/GYN consults
- Collaborate with hospital and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care
- Document patient encounters and procedures in Cerner EMR
