About The Position

JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Obstetrics/Gynecology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Jacksonville, FL • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Call Only • Coverage Period: May/June 2026 – Ongoing • On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour in-house call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) • Call Type: In-House • Call Response Time: Immediate (in-house) COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing 24-hour call coverage; open to consecutive shifts PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Women’s Health (Obstetrics & Gynecology) • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 80 deliveries per month • Admissions: Included • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: Full-scope obstetrics and gynecology including labor and delivery and gynecologic surgery FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Meditech • Office Equipment Available: Standard OB/GYN surgical and delivery equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Certified Nurse Midwives with surgical assist capability; anesthesia coverage 24/7 • Support Staff Available: Multidisciplinary team including LCSWs, lactation consultants, and education specialists • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Vaginal deliveries • Cesarean sections • Gynecologic surgical procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active FL license required or IMLC eligible • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology • DEA: Required • Certifications: Not Specified • Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred • Other Qualifications: Strong communication and collaboration skills; patient-centered care approach DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide 24-hour in-house OB/GYN call coverage • Deliver full-scope obstetrical and gynecological care • Perform deliveries and surgical procedures • Collaborate with CNMs and multidisciplinary care team • Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
