Contract OB/GYN Physician in New Mexico

About The Position
A regional medical center in Shiprock, New Mexico is seeking two (2) Board Certified or Board Eligible Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physicians to provide comprehensive women’s health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers the opportunity to practice full-scope obstetrics and gynecology in a collaborative hospital environment serving a diverse patient population. Physicians will provide obstetrical and gynecological care, perform procedures, and support the facility’s women’s health services.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to obtain facility credentialing and privileging

- Experience in hospital-based OB/GYN practice
- Experience providing full-scope obstetrics and gynecology care
- Experience in rural or underserved healthcare settings
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary care teams
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope obstetrics and gynecology services
- Deliver prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecologic conditions
- Perform OB/GYN procedures and surgeries as clinically appropriate
- Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
- Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Prenatal and postnatal care
- Labor and delivery management
- Cesarean sections
- Gynecologic procedures and surgery
- Preventive women's health screenings
- Family planning services
- Diagnosis and management of reproductive health conditions
