About The Position

As an OB/GYN with Legacy Medical Group Portland Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will be joining a collaborative team of physicians committed to providing high quality care in downtown Portland, OR. Good Samaritan Hospital is celebrating its 150th year and boasts the oldest Labor and Delivery unit in Portland, with a history of excellent collegiality among all departments and a staff committed to each other and the community. As an OB/Gyn generalist, you will work in clinic, on L&D, and in the main operating room. While on call, you will be actively involved covering deliveries for clinic patients and collaborate with other private groups. You will be responsible for backup when a second physician is needed for cesareans, complex GYN cases, or due to high volume, and will alternately cover the emergency room/hospital for consultations. The position offers a market competitive salary based compensation plan, additional compensation for more than 1:5 call, and additional incentives for quality and citizenship. It features a 4-day work week plus call (1:7), a $4,000 annual CME allowance including 40 hours of CME, relocation assistance (pending eligibility), and a sign-on bonus. Requirements

  • Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent
  • Residency completed in OB-GYN
  • Clinical experience in OB-GYN, in both office and inpatient settings
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

  • Work in clinic, on L&D and in the main operating room
  • Actively involved covering deliveries for clinic patients while on call
  • Collaborate with other private groups while on call
  • Responsible for backup when a second physician is needed for cesareans, complex GYN cases or due to high volume
