Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility Position Highlights: Outpatient clinic and inpatient OB/GYN services: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (excluding federal holidays) On-call coverage for 24-hour periods, including holidays, as scheduled Long-term contract with potential for extension OB/GYN Locum Tenens contract position Work authorized under any state’s active, unrestricted U.S. medical license Local or travel locum candidates welcome Opportunity to provide culturally competent care to Native American patients Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum management Deliver gynecologic care to adolescents and adults, including preventive, diagnostic, and surgical services Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with nurses, mid-level providers, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR, consistent with IHS standards Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and care teams Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care coordination, and community health efforts Respond to emergencies and provide on-call coverage as scheduled Qualifications: MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) recommended Recent clinical experience, with deliveries within the past year Ability to provide culturally competent care to Native American communities Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Additional Duties: Attend post-award or periodic progress meetings with government representatives as required Maintain quality control and compliance with contract requirements, including safeguarding government property and maintaining appropriate security clearances Ensure continuity of care and timely communication with the Clinical Director or designee Other duties as directed by your supervisor Indian Preference Exercised: Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
