About The Position

As the Oakland Transportation Coordinator, you handle all transportation logistics for families traveling between Oakland and camp. You run the bus stop, manage supplies and records, and support families so departures and returns are smooth and stress-free. This is a part-time, Oakland-based job with set dates and no camp housing. You will spend your summer preparing for bus days, organizing supplies, running check-in and check-out, and keeping transportation details accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • 25 or older (21+ if using your personal vehicle).
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving a vehicle loaded with supplies.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Calm under pressure, quick to problem-solve, and empathetic customer service.
  • Able to work independently without supervision and follow through on tasks.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and manage physical tasks at the bus stop.
  • Available for all required transportation dates and prep days, including early mornings or evenings.
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace and basic tech tools.
  • Someone reliable who shows up on time and works hard.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language skills are highly preferred and receive additional compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run the Oakland bus stop - manage check-in/out, lunches, car and booster seats, and luggage.
  • Drive a rental vehicle and take care of supply pickups, returns, and schedule coordination.
  • Keep accurate records of riders, arrivals, departures, and supplies for reporting.
  • Prepare lunches and snacks; pick up sandwiches and assemble sack lunches.
  • Maintain and organize the storage unit and all transportation supplies.
  • Work with leadership to update transportation processes and documentation.
