About The Position

Willdan Lighting and Electric (WLE), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is looking for an Outreach Coordinator in our New York, NY office to support the New York City Accelerator program that promotes the adoption of energy efficient building upgrades in NYC. The NYC Accelerator is designed to drive forward the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets designated in Local Law 97 — the country’s most ambitious building decarbonization law. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative environment with our project management staff and other program staff to communicate with and educate building owners, building managers, contractors and other relevant stakeholders about the benefits of participating in of the Accelerator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, marketing or business, and/ or relevant work experience in outreach, marketing, customer engagement, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Some experience or demonstrated interest in energy efficiency, building electrification/decarbonization, contractor engagement and CBO engagement.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude.
  • Brings creative ideas to the table from lessons learned.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with our clients and internal staff.
  • Sound reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with our clients and work collaboratively with the program staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple projects.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CRM experience preferred, particularly Salesforce.
  • Project management software experience preferred, particularly Monday.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the Accelerator program by engaging in outreach activities including prospective customer/contractor lunch and learns, inbound prospective customer support, trade show presentations, tabling at conferences or community resource fairs, webinars, and cold calling.
  • Develop and implement outreach plans in collaboration with the marketing and outreach team to target key market segments and support achievement of the program goals.
  • Support the deployment of program marketing and outreach campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key outreach performance indicators (KPIs) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis to inform strategy.
  • Communicate relevant Accelerator offerings to target audiences, including SOW generation, incentive management, financing options and more.
  • Assist with customer segmentation and targeting including the development and maintenance of contact lists and communication efforts.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports to track progress toward program goals.
  • Support cross-functional efforts and contribute to additional activities as needed to meet program objectives.
