About The Position

About the Opportunity: Our client, a respected Third-Party Administrator (TPA), is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor to lead and develop a team of adjusters handling New York claims. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can drive claim performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a high-performing team environment. Compensation & Benefits: $95,000 - $115,000/year (based on years of experience) Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) with company match Flexible remote work environment Qualifications: Active New York Adjuster’s License (Required) 5+ years of experience handling New York Workers’ Compensation claims 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred Strong knowledge of New York jurisdiction, statutes, and regulatory requirements Experience working within a TPA or insurance carrier environment Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-volume environment Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills Strong communication and client-facing abilities Key Responsibilities: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters handling New York claims Monitor claim files for quality, accuracy, and compliance with New York Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations Conduct regular file reviews and provide actionable feedback to improve performance Assist adjusters with complex, litigated, and high-exposure claims Ensure timely reserving, proper claim investigation, and strategic resolution of claims Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded Track and report on key performance metrics (closure rates, lag time, reserve accuracy, etc.) Support training initiatives and onboarding of new team members Maintain compliance with all regulatory and internal best practices #LI-MW1

Requirements

  • Active New York Adjuster’s License (Required)
  • 5+ years of experience handling New York Workers’ Compensation claims
  • Strong knowledge of New York jurisdiction, statutes, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working within a TPA or insurance carrier environment
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
