AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting AWS data centers and all associated equipment to ensure continual customer access. The team works on challenging problems impacting the supply chain and collaborates across AWS to deliver high standards for safety, security, and cost efficiency. Amazon’s network is a key differentiator for AWS, enabling global operation of thousands of applications across a highly complex infrastructure. The AWS Networking team develops and operates this industry-leading platform for all of Amazon. The Global Network Delivery Team (GND) is responsible for structured cabling, hardware deployment, and hardware commissioning related to network deployment during the initial phase of a data center, as well as scaling and integration. The NW Deployment Build Manager II leads a team of highly qualified network engineers and is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Network Infrastructure, including Safety, Scheduling, Standards, and Implementation for new builds across the AMER region. This leader is expected to significantly enhance speed, quality, and safety in deploying new network capacity in Data Center sites, ensuring resources are in place to meet capacity demands efficiently. The role involves owning the resources responsible for planning, configuring, and deploying network infrastructure in new AWS data centers, driving strategy to innovate and optimize deployments, and instilling operational excellence to deliver network capacity on time with zero rework. This leader will be integral to the wider infrastructure management senior leadership team, collaborating with engineering and operations teams on new solutions and designs, and owning all aspects of people management.
