About The Position

Purpose : A Nutritional Services Retail Supervisor in a hospital setting oversees the daily operations of the cafeteria, coffee shop, or other retail food outlets. They ensure high-quality, safe food service to staff, visitors, and patients while managing retail staff, inventory, cash handling, and compliance with sanitation regulations Hours: 12:30pm-9:00pm , including alternating weekends What you will do: Staff Supervision: Supervises hourly associates, including scheduling, training, coaching, and assigning daily tasks. Retail Operations: Oversees cafeteria/retail area cleanliness, food display, and service standards. Inventory & Cash Management: Manages inventory levels, ensures proper stock levels, and handles cash register reporting, including reconciling daily revenue and sales reports. Food Safety & Compliance: Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local sanitation regulations, including HACCP standards, temperature checks, and proper food handling. Customer Service: Ensures excellent customer service for guests, doctors, and staff. Operations Support: Acts as the primary contact in the absence of Food Service Management and may cover essential positions during shortages.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in food service operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Sanitation Certification Course or ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent computer and customer service skills, effective communication, and ability to work well with others in service situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Customer-Service call center experience preferred.
