As a Nutrition Services Manager, you’ll be the heart of the kitchen, making sure everything runs smoothly and deliciously.

Requirements

  • Experience in an institutional kitchen and knowledge of large-scale food production, including ordering.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in school nutrition or a related field.
  • MN Department of Health Food Manager’s Certificate (or willingness to earn within 6 months).
  • Pass a pre-placement physical.
  • Ability to plan, organize, multitask, and lead with positivity.
  • Strong people skills—able to motivate a team and handle challenges gracefully.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily food production with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Order and manage food and supplies.
  • Lead, schedule, and support a dedicated food service team.
  • Keep accurate records and handle inventory like a pro.
  • Jump in on food prep, service, and special school or community events.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and administrators.
