About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Under general supervision, assists in preparing and serving food in the school cafeteria; cleans kitchen equipment, utensils, and work area; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
• Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
• A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District's vehicle insurance program may be required in some assignments.
• California Food Handler Card/Certificate is required within 30 days from the date of hire and must be maintained during the course of employment.
• Passing of physical required, if hired.
• Letter of Introduction
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two recent SIGNED letters)
• Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma or GED)
• Resume

• One year of experience working in a school nutrition program or the food service industry is desirable.
