The Nutrition Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of Fond du Lac County’s Nutrition Program, which provides home-delivered and congregate meals to older adults. This position ensures that nutrition services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting the program’s goals of reducing hunger, promoting health, and encouraging socialization among older adults. The Coordinator oversees nutrition sites and meal vendors, maintains program records and reports, manages supplies and inventory, and serves as a primary point of contact for food service providers and community partners. This role includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and supporting volunteers; responding to participant, staff, and volunteer concerns; and ensuring food safety practices and procedures are followed consistently. The Coordinator also collaborates with internal staff, fiscal teams, and external partners to support program operations, reporting, and planning. This position requires strong organizational and prioritization skills, the ability to work independently, effective communication, and sound judgment. Occasional evening or early morning hours may be required to support meetings, training, or program needs. A commitment to public service and working with older adults is essential.
