This Per Diem Nutrition Assistant position is responsible for the service of meals to our inpatient behavior health population. This role is responsible for accurate measurement of food and service of food according to tray ticket and provider's diet order and care plan. The role works closely with the unit Registered Dietitian to ensure the clinician's care plan is carried out in order to see progress in the patient's nutritional status. This role also ensures the maintenance and cleanliness of the unit dining room and pantry, ensures food safety guidelines are followed, performs patient verification, protects patients from food allergens, labels and dates food items according to policy and provides customer service to our patients. This position also covers other positions in the department, such as retail, cold production and sanitation.

Requirements

  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Experience in the hotel, restaurant or retail industry.
  • A high school diploma or GED

  • Prior food service experience

Responsibilities
