Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital is located in Titusville, Florida minutes from Cape Canaveral. Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including, depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point behavioral health offers inpatient treatment options and serve communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30-miles north of historic Cocoa Beach, and 40-miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. In Titusville, you can tour the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. Not only do you have the abundance of activities along the Atlantic shore, but Titusville also offers an ideal climate, close proximity to multiple dining and shopping options, and a very friendly community.
Supervisor Nurse will be responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the in-patient units. Oversees all unit activities including but not limited to admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, seclusion and.or restraints, Baker Act. Oversees schedule to ensure adequate coverage and proper break/meal time. Accountable for the implementation of a collaborative care plan as proscribed by the physician(s) and treatment team. Provide leadership in maintaining standards for professional Nursing practice in the clinical setting. Provide medical management and assessment of patients. Ensure environmental safety. Work with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu. Oversee Mental Health Techs,; Administers medication and provides medication for the nursing staff when the Pharmacy is closed. Coordinates all medical codes and ensures they are carried out appropriately and safely.

Requirements

• 5 years RN experience with 2 years in behavioral health preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once
• Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
• Ability to keep company confidences

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred
