About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor manages Nursing staff and CNA direct care staff on the shift, including scheduling, performance reviews, and plans of staff. Duties include documentation review and training needs for staff, management of staff in eSTAR timekeeping system, resident chart review and hospitalization summaries, clinical rounding, preparing and managing staff meetings, communication with interdisciplinary team, review of resident records, review physician/NP orders for accuracy, medication reviews, nursing monthly summaries, leadership and teambuilding, daily census reports, attendance reports, promotion of Infection Control Program, attendance to mandatory meetings, scheduling of staff training, review of time and attendance audits, completion and submission of disciplinary reports and recommendations to Nursing Administrator, resident advocacy, support of Person-Centered Care Model, review and revision of resident care plans, familiarization and completion of Nursing Supervisor forms with a strong understanding of facility and Division policies and procedures, strong clinical skills and mentoring of staff, and all other roles/responsibilities deemed appropriate for the leadership of a shift Nursing Supervisor. Develops, implements and/or reviews nursing care plans. Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team. Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms. Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • At least three years experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing and at least two years experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Masters degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.
  • Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.
