The House Supervisor acts as the in-house administrative representative and resource for all patients, staff, staff physicians, and visitors. This role involves working with team members to develop and improve processes for a remarkable patient experience, creating and maintaining a healthy work environment for improved patient outcomes, retention, and organizational excellence. The supervisor also collaborates with physicians on patient care processes and coordinates patient care through delegation, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an NLNAC accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required.
  • Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
  • Has knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to modify care and interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care according to patient’s age, health, and developmental status.
  • Has demonstrated sound and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, good interpersonal skills, and good intra and interdepartmental relationships.

  • BSN preferred.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the in-house administrative representative and resource person for all patients, staff, staff physicians, and visitors.
  • Work with team members to develop or improve processes to assure a remarkable patient experience.
  • Create and maintain a healthy work environment that results in improved patient outcomes, retention, and organizational excellence.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop or improve processes surrounding care of patients.
  • Coordinate the provision of patient care through delegation, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Work in partnership with leaders to create, support, and maintain a culture of professional accountability.
  • Partner with family and patients to resolve concerns related to the delivery of health care.
  • Assure that team members provide care that is consistent with The Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
