The Nursing Station Technician on the 39 bed Oncology unit will help adult patients with oncologic malignancies. Our focus is adult gynecology, oncology, colorectal and plastic surgery patients. Our services include surgical care, chemotherapy and blood administration. We manage complex medication and infusion therapies, and care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic surgeries, procedures and interventions on the unit. We are a dynamic team! This position works a .6 FTE (48 hours per 2 week pay period), at 8-hour shifts, on the day and evening shifts (7am-3:30pm and 3pm-11:30pm) with every other weekend rotation. This exciting opportunity is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit. Other job duties include: Patient care tasks such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests Setting up and maintaining patient rooms Ordering and stocking of supplies Keywords: NST / NA / HUC
