Fairview is looking for a Nursing Station Technician at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN on our Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit. This unit provides pre and post transplant care for patient with oncological and hematological disorders. This position works a .5 FTE (40 hours per 2 week pay period) on the rotating day and evening shifts, 8 hour shifts and every other weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Day shifts are 7am-3:30pm and evening shifts are 3pm-11:30pm. Are you ready to kickstart your next engaging career in healthcare? Look no further! This exciting opportunity is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit. Other job duties include: Patient care tasks such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests Setting up and maintaining patient rooms Ordering and stocking of supplies Keywords: NST / NA / HUC
