About The Position

Paradigm Treatment Centers provides personalized residential psychiatric treatment for California and Texas teens and young adults from ages 12 to 26. With transformative residential facilities in Malibu, California, San Rafael, California, and now within the Austin, Texas area! Paradigm has more than a decade of experience in helping adolescents and young adults address the mental health and co-occurring substance use challenges that are holding them back. As a Nursing Manager within our Residential Treatment Center (RTC), you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing nursing operations, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care. This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, residential treatment, or acute care settings strongly preferred
  • At least 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience (Charge RN, Lead RN, Supervisor, etc.)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong working knowledge of medication management, crisis stabilization, and adolescent behavioral health
  • Ability to lead nursing teams in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily nursing operations across the RTC, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and patient care
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing nursing staff including RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and support personnel
  • Collaborating closely with clinical directors, therapists, program leadership, and medical providers to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
  • Conducting daily clinical rounds, reviewing patient status, and ensuring consistent documentation and follow-through
  • Leading onboarding and training initiatives for new nursing staff
  • Supporting clinical intake processes, ensuring safe and smooth transitions for new residents entering treatment
  • Participating in interdisciplinary meetings and contributing to individualized treatment planning
  • Ensuring compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and nursing practice standards
  • Managing medication administration protocols, MAR accuracy, documentation audits, and overall medication room compliance
  • Serving as a clinical resource for crisis intervention, de-escalation support, and emergency response
  • Maintaining communication with families, providers, and internal teams when applicable
  • Supporting quality improvement initiatives, incident reviews, and risk management processes
