Paradigm Treatment Centers provides personalized residential psychiatric treatment for California and Texas teens and young adults from ages 12 to 26. With transformative residential facilities in Malibu, California, San Rafael, California, and now within the Austin, Texas area! Paradigm has more than a decade of experience in helping adolescents and young adults address the mental health and co-occurring substance use challenges that are holding them back. As a Medical Assistant with Paradigm Treatment Centers in Idaho, you will play an essential role in supporting our nursing and clinical teams while ensuring residents receive attentive, high-quality medical and behavioral care. This position follows a Friday–Sunday schedule from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

  • Supporting nursing staff with daily medical tasks, including vitals, documentation, and patient monitoring
  • Assisting residents throughout their daily schedules including meals, groups, recreation, and therapy blocks
  • Ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment that promotes treatment goals
  • Welcoming and assisting with intake for new residents, helping them feel safe, informed, and comfortable when entering care
  • Communicating effectively with clinical directors, therapists, nurses, and program staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Providing crisis prevention and de-escalation support as needed, following facility protocols
  • Monitoring sharps and valuables, maintaining accurate logs, and ensuring safety compliance
  • Assisting with basic medical needs including CPR, wound care preparation, and medication support under clinical supervision
  • Accurately documenting patient observations, interactions, and care activities
  • Candidates must meet Idaho state Medical Assistant requirements, including one of the following:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or
  • National certification (such as CCMA, CMA, RMA, or NCMA), or
  • Registration as an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) with the Idaho Board of Nursing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
  • Eligibility to perform delegated medical tasks under Idaho Nursing Board regulations
  • Experience with behavioral health
  • Previous work experience in a clinical or residential setting
  • Passion for the field of mental/behavioral health
  • Have previously worked with adolescents/young adults or in a youth-focused environment
  • Previous work experience as a Mental Health Technician, Behavioral Health Technician, or Caregiver!
