About The Position

Provides oversight, leadership, and coordination of nursing services across the agency including all residential levels of care and ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) program. This role ensures high-quality, evidence-based nursing practices, regulatory compliance, staff development, and continuity of care for all clients served within residential programs and the ACT program. The Nursing Manager serves as a clinical resource, provides supervision to assigned Registered Nurses (RNs), and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support client-centered care.

Requirements

Active RN license in Oregon.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
3-5 years of nursing experience in behavioral health, community mental health, or residential care.
2+ years of supervisory experience in behavioral health, community mental health, or residential care.
Work experience in a mental health for at least two of the last five years.
Knowledge of psychiatric nursing, medication management, and crisis intervention.
Ability to pass a criminal history background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ACT programs, people with severe mental illness, residential treatment programs, and supportive housing.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and documentation standards.
Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMC-BC) or similar specialty.
Experience in community mental health, behavioral health, and/or residential care.

Responsibilities

Provides direct supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations for residential RNs and ACT nurses.
Supervise, train and evaluate RNs, provide re-training and evaluate staff performance.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels; scheduling and reviewing and verifying time sheets.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and trauma-informed work environment.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies for nursing employees.
Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
Conduct routine audits of nursing documentation, medication management systems, and client health records.
Participate in incident review, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
Lead or support quality improvement initiatives and program evaluations.
Develop and implement trainings on medical protocols, safety, and best practices.
Support continuing education and licensure compliance for nursing staff.
Serve as a mentor and resource for competency development.
Work closely with Program Managers, Residential Leadership, Medical Providers, and Behavioral Health Teams.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning sessions, and case reviews.
Serve as a nursing representative in leadership and administrative meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
