Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. This position serves as the clinical leader responsible for the operations and management of the ICU unit. The Nurse Manager assumes responsibility for shift operations such as making appropriate assignments, coordinating care, resolving issues, functioning as the resource nurse, participating in staffing decisions, rounding on patients, and maintaining TJC compliance. The Nurse Manager assumes long-range responsibilities such as employee evaluations, corrective action, business/budget planning, and performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing
  • Certified in critical care nursing by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses or 3 years' of experience in critical care
  • Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
  • BSN required
  • ACLS
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years’ experience as a Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse
  • 2 years’ experience in an ICU in a hospital setting
