About The Position

Saint Luke's East is seeking a motivated Nurse Intern to join our Float Pool team. This PRN position offers flexbile scheduling and is ideal for current nursing students looking to gain hands-on experience in an acute care hospital setting. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to float across a variety of Med Surg and Intermediate Care units, building your clinical skills while working alongside experienced nursing professionals. The Nursing Intern is a PRN position for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed a Fundamentals of Nursing or Med Surg course. The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation however Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge, gain real-world experience, and grow your confidence in patient care.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with an expected graduation date in 2027
• Must have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course
• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Nursing Student - Various

Responsibilities
