Ginger Cove, a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Annapolis, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) to lead our licensed healthcare services. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Assisted Living operations. You’ll partner closely with clinical and executive leadership to ensure exceptional resident care, regulatory excellence, and strong operational performance. If you’re a results-driven leader who thrives in a collaborative, mission-focused environment—this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference. The NHA will direct daily operations across Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Assisted Living, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-performing healthcare service delivery. This role involves partnering with the Director of Nursing and department leaders to align clinical and operational goals, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS requirements, and maintaining continuous survey readiness. The NHA will also lead all state surveys, audits, and plans of correction, oversee adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety standards, and lead the Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Key responsibilities include monitoring clinical quality indicators, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions, as well as ensuring the delivery of person-centered care that meets medical, nursing, and psychosocial needs. The NHA will oversee incident reporting, investigations, and risk mitigation strategies, and ensure resident rights, dignity, and quality of life are consistently upheld. Financial management includes developing and managing operating and capital budgets for healthcare services, overseeing staffing models, labor management, and cost controls, and monitoring financial performance to improve efficiency while maintaining care quality. The NHA is also responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing department heads and interdisciplinary teams, overseeing hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management, and promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and retention. Collaboration with executive leadership, department heads, and community stakeholders, supporting occupancy and admissions efforts, maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agencies and healthcare partners, and participating in emergency planning are also integral to the role. Finally, the NHA will address and resolve resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner and support specialized programming, including memory care and individualized service planning.
