Nursing Home Administrator
About The Position

In this role you will oversee the overall day to day operation of the skilled nursing community and supervise all skilled nursing staff. Act as the on-site executive for all operations, including being the main point of contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies and the public. Maintain budget accountability and cash flow; aggressively anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits. Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporate policy. Maintain all local, state, and federal licenses for the community. Lead staff meetings. Promote and protect resident rights; assisting residents to make informed decisions and treating them with dignity and respect. Become an intricate part of the community in social and civic affairs by representing the community in local, state, and professional organizations. Requirements
- Licensed in the State of Maine as a Nursing Home Administrator or Multi-level Administrator
- 2+ years of experience in the Senior Housing Industry.
- You professionally communicate and listen to residents, guests, and coworkers.
- You are able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile residents.
- You have great management skills and a willingness and desire to work harmoniously with all staff members.
- You express compassion and patience through your work, even when your job is stressful at times.
- You have the ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
