The Emergency Nursing Department Director position involves overseeing the operations of the emergency department, managing staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include leading the team, managing departmental budgets, and implementing strategies to improve patient experience and care delivery.

Requirements

Active RN Licensure in the State of Oregon.
Bachelor's degree (BSN), Masters degree preferred.
5-10 years' experience in emergency nursing.
Minimum 3-5 years' leadership experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills required.

Nice To Haves

Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Directing the daily operations of the ED, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, and implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Managing the departmental budget and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Manages budget, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Leading and mentoring a team of nurses providing opportunities for professional development.
Responding to emergency situations related to patient and staff safety.
Collaborating with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
