About The Position

Chamberlain University is seeking a dynamic Associate Dean of Academic Affairs (ADAA) to help lead the academic excellence of our campus-based Miramar, FL, BSN program. In this role, you will guide day‑to-day academic operations, support and develop faculty, and advance initiatives that drive student success. You’ll partner closely with the Dean to bring our academic strategy to life while ensuring a supportive, high‑quality learning environment rooted in Chamberlain Care. As an ADAA, you will play a key leadership role by: Academic Operations & Faculty Leadership Managing assigned faculty schedules, workload, and performance to ensure exceptional teaching and student outcomes. Hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining high‑caliber visiting and full‑time faculty. Leading ongoing performance management through regular observation, evaluation, and constructive feedback. Embedding Chamberlain Care and Covista culture expectations into daily academic operations. Student Success & Program Quality Analyzing student success data to strengthen curriculum delivery, labs, simulation, and workshops. Ensuring curriculum implementation meets institutional standards and accreditation requirements. Supporting clinical placement needs and collaborating across teams to allocate academic resources effectively. Responding to student needs with empathy, clarity, and a commitment to removing barriers to success. Collaboration, Strategy & Compliance Executing academic strategy in partnership with the Dean and academic leadership. Coordinating with ED, DAAs, and ADAAs to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive student experience. Serving as a professional liaison to regulatory boards, community partners, and internal stakeholders. Supporting budget planning, resource management, and capital requests with sound judgment and faculty input. Leading new initiatives and program expansion aligned with evolving healthcare education needs. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing required; doctoral degree in Nursing or a related medical field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching in a bachelor‑level (or higher) nursing program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in simulation and/or clinical education development and delivery.
  • At least 2 years of prior leadership experience with demonstrated ability to guide teams and manage performance.
  • Professional nursing licensure in good standing (unencumbered) required.
  • Proven ability to recruit, onboard, and retain high‑quality faculty.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate conflict, build relationships, and foster a positive academic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to service excellence and student‑centered support.
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, policy interpretation, and leading change within academic or clinical settings.
  • Highly organized, with exceptional time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with budget planning, resource allocation, and operational decision‑making.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in acute care, trauma, emergency, or medical‑surgical settings is preferred and considered a strong advantage.
