About The Position

2A ICU is a 21-bed medical/surgical ICU serving high acuity medical ICU patients. The unit population is cardiac interventions, SARS, Cardiogenic shock, Rotoprone, Post-partum critical care patients and complex care ICU patients most of which have a medical or cardiac diagnosis. Nursing Assistant Part-Time, Days Job Description: Performs direct patient care procedures and related tasks; assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs and I &O and documents, prepares chart packs, and assists with medical procedures as delegated by nursing staff. Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for specific procedures and provide manual assistance as needed. Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system immediately to determine patients’ needs and assures needs are address in a timely manner. Accesses additional assistance as indicated to meet patient needs. Performs and documents appropriate procedures and data according to hospital policy and procedure. Performs hygienic care including bathing, shaving, oral, and hair Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system immediately to determine patients’ needs and assures needs are met when beyond scope. Requirements

  • High School/GED
  • SRNA or currently enrolled in an RN program with validation of first year of clinical rotation
  • Must obtain BLS within 30 days from date of hire
