Provides assistance and support with residents’ activities of daily living. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in good standing on the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry preferred.
One year of experience working with seniors with memory loss preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors required.
Experience in a long-term care or other related healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the community philosophy, policies and resident rights
Observes residents within patient care policy guidelines and immediately report any conditions requiring attention to the Care Coordinator.
Assists residents in meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Adheres to each resident’s individual service plan, notify the clinical director and care coordinator of any changes in the resident’s condition.
Ambulates and transfers residents as needed utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
Assists residents with their activities of daily living.
Launders the residents’ personal clothes, sheets, and towels according to schedule.
Launders household items according to schedule.
Interacts with residents to ensure that quality care and positive resident/staff relations are taking place.
Accountable for residents care in conjunction with the Clinical Director and other disciplines within the community to ensure quality care.
Completes daily assignments and reports problems to supervisors.
Follows safety guidelines according to community policies and procedures.
Offers choices, maintains dignity, and promotes individuality for all residents.
Protects and maintains resident rights.
Carries out all duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Attends all regular staff meetings and required training sessions.
Effectively communicates information pertaining to the residents on a “need to know” basis to other team members according to the community policies and procedures.
Notifies your supervisor or the clinical director if you observe a change in a resident’s condition.
Accountable for compliance, excellence and delivery of residents care in adherence with organization, local, state and federal regulations.
Maintains a positive and professional manner toward residents, visitors, families and co-workers.
Adheres to all policies and procedures of Ohio Living.
