About The Position

Wills Eye Hospital is hiring a Nursing Assistant (Pre-op/PACU) in Cherry Hill, NJ at the Wills Eye Surgery Center - Cherry Hill, NJ . In th is role, you’ll provide age-appropriate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and best practices under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse . This is a Full-Time 40 hours per week opportunity for someone who wants to work closely with patients, has an interest in critical care environments, and wants to learn advanced nursing skills. You’ll manage patient comfort and daily needs, vital signs and observations, patient safety, documentation, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required .
  • CMA or RMA required .
  • ServSafe required .

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Course or equivalent preferred .
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of clinical experience is preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Assists with patient hygiene, mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking, while observing patients for any changes.
  • Records patient vital signs, routinely, or as directed.
  • Performs 12 lead EKG.
  • Maintains competency in routine blood draws and patient specimen process.
  • Escorts or transfers patients in the hospital as needed.
  • Assists with the discharge of patients and escorting them to their vehicles.
  • Assists in the maintenance of unit cleanliness and equipment cleanliness.
