Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, charge nurse, or nurse, the nursing assistant will take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for an assigned group of patients. Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations, and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer's needs. Performs duties according to the policy and procedures of CHOMP and the department under the direct supervision of an RN. Must be detail oriented, organized, have exceptional phone etiquette, communication skills, be able to multi-task and work in a busy demanding work environment. Critical thinking skills are essential. The nursing assistant will take vital signs and assist with the activities of daily living and comfort measures to an assigned group of patients.
