About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY:  Under the direction of the nurse, performs basic patient care
related tasks that contributes to the maintenance of a safe and comfortable
patient environment.

Qualifications

Requirements

• EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of Nursing Assistant course within one year.
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: BLS certification required. Specialty certifications as required by each unit.
• SKILLS: Must be able to pass skills competency checklist as required by each unit.   Must be able to read, speak and write English fluently.
• Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations
• prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking
• Has knowledge of and uses good body mechanics
• Frequently lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients or equipment
• Hearing and visual acuity within normal limits
• Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required

Nice To Haves

• EXPERIENCE: Six months in a healthcare related field preferred.
