Requirements

  • A thorough understanding of horticulture and product knowledge as it relates to the NNO operation
  • The willingness to share horticultural knowledge with customers and co-workers
  • The ability to demonstrate professional behavior under pressure
  • A willingness to assist with stocking and with display maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming visitors and customers
  • Assisting and advising customers with plant and hard good questions and selections
  • Delivering exceptional personal customer service
  • Resolving or referring customer concerns or complaints according to established procedures.
  • Assisting with activities, events, and special promotions as needed
  • Support and assist the full-time staff in ensuring that safety, security, health, facilities, repair, and environmental standards are met daily.
  • Notifying the full-time staff promptly with any safety or operational concerns
  • Providing the full-time staff with feedback on procedures and customer service concerns
  • Assisting with merchandising displays
  • Attending weekly staff meetings
  • Assisting with shut down/start up if asked
  • Assisting with inventory if asked
  • Watering
  • Cleaning plants, displays
  • Monitoring product quality, stock levels, and signage needs
  • Other duties as assigned
