About The Position

The nursery attendant supervises children and their activities from ages 8 weeks to 14 years at Carilion Wellness facilities. They are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the children during their entire stay in the Youth Services Center. Prior experience with children highly preferred. Approximately 12-16 hours to begin Must have Evenings open Mon-Fri and rotating Saturday

Requirements

• Minimum two years high school education.
• Work permit required if under 18 years of age.
• none
• AHA BLS-HCP certification is required (adult and infant/child).

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with children highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures childrens safety and well-being in the nursery and playland areas at all times.
• Enforces the child sick policy and other policies while utilizing the nursery.
• Maintain nursery bathroom neat and clean.
• Watch the children and their activities at all times.
• Contact parent if child's diaper needs to be changed.
• Ensures safety with the toys, books, etc.
• Keep nursery neat and clean.
